What to count
- The work itself
- Reading the brief and asking questions

- Revisions
- Invoicing and records
How to time it
A notebook or a simple timer app is enough. Start and stop it each time you touch the job.
Use the number
Divide what actually arrived by the total hours. If the result is lower than you expected, you've learned something useful before taking on more work at that price.
